Python Developer – Market Surveillance & Regulatory Reporting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to design and build a next‑generation Market Surveillance platform for a fast‑growing quantitative hedge fund. You will create robust regulatory reporting infrastructure from the ground up, handling massive data volumes while ensuring strict compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop a scalable Market Surveillance system.
• Implement data validation frameworks and robust regulatory reporting pipelines.
• Design and deploy RPA automation solutions to streamline compliance processes.
• Process large financial datasets efficiently and securely.
• Optimize cloud architecture to support high‑performance workloads.
• Collaborate with trading, risk and compliance teams to align technical solutions with business needs.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional experience as a Python Developer.
• Proven expertise in regulatory reporting, market surveillance or compliance within financial services.
• Current or recent experience at a hedge fund, asset manager or major investment bank.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work on complex, data‑intensive projects.
