Python Tech Lead – Hybrid, London

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Technical Leader to drive a multidisciplinary engineering team in a fast‑growing global technology consultancy. Based in London with hybrid working, you will stay close to the code while shaping technical strategy for high‑profile clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow a team of engineers across frontend, backend, DevOps and design.
• Own team composition, onboarding, capacity planning and performance management.
• Prioritise and manage the product backlog, aligning sprint goals with delivery timelines.
• Oversee the full software lifecycle from development and testing to deployment and support.
• Maintain a scalable, efficient, and maintainable codebase through strong engineering practices.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients and bridge communication across product, engineering and client teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in tools, processes and engineering culture.

Required profile

• 10+ years of hands‑on Python development experience.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
