QA Automation Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leading organisation in the financial services sector, is looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join their technology team in Reading. You will work closely with developers, business analysts and project stakeholders to design, develop and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain automated testing frameworks and Cypress libraries.
• Develop unit, component and end‑to‑end tests to ensure software quality.
• Integrate AI techniques to enhance test efficiency and coverage.
• Drive testing best practices and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support continuous delivery.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as an Automation QA Tester.
• 2+ years working within the financial services sector.
• 1+ year experience leveraging AI to improve testing frameworks.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative QA team.
