QA Officer – Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to support our production operations in a leading UK manufacturing business near Preston. Working within the Quality team, you will prepare, review and control documentation to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and issue batch manufacturing and packing records.
• Review completed production documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain controlled quality documentation and records.
• Create Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and Certificates of Conformance (CoC).
• Support batch release activities and maintain quality trackers.
• Coordinate external sample shipments and archive quality records.
• Process customer complaints and respond to quality‑related requests.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Required profile

• Organised, proactive and comfortable in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Administration or a similar documentation‑focused role.
• Experience within manufacturing, production or packaging.
• Excellent administration, organisational and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of GMP or other regulated manufacturing environments (advantageous, training provided).
