QA Operator – Quality Assurance in Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a QA Operator to join a modern manufacturing site in St. Austell. You will carry out quality inspections, support production processes and help maintain high standards of safety and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections of manufactured products against defined standards.
• Complete batch documentation accurately and on time.
• Take and inspect in‑process control (IPC) samples following specifications and SOPs.
• Report health, safety and environmental incidents, near‑misses and unsafe acts.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping standards and support packaging, labelling and machinery operation.
• Respond to machine alarms, take corrective action and ensure smooth production flow.
• Follow company procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) guidelines.
• Conduct effective shift handovers and escalate issues as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Willingness to work a rotating 4‑day day / 4‑day night shift pattern.
