QA Technician / Auditor – Food Manufacturing (Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a QA Technician / QA Auditor to support a well‑established food manufacturing business in the Plymouth area on a temporary basis. The role involves hands‑on quality assurance activities within a fast‑paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine quality assurance checks across the production facility.
• Conduct GMP and housekeeping audits.
• Perform pre‑start and line‑start checks, verifying labels and packaging information.
• Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and other quality control points.
• Support traceability exercises and investigations.
• Carry out hygiene verification activities and record non‑conformances.
• Complete and review quality documentation and factory records.
• Provide general support to the Technical and Quality teams.

Required profile

• Previous experience in QA, Quality Assurance, Quality Control or a technical role within food manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
• Ability to challenge non‑compliance and promote quality standards on the factory floor.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Reliable, dependable and a strong work ethic.

What we offer

• Temporary contract until February 2027.
• Hourly rate of £13.20 – £13.70.
