QC Inspector – Quality Control Operative

About the role

Our client in Rochester is looking for a QC Inspector to ensure that all vehicle repairs meet strict quality standards and customer deadlines. This full‑time, temporary‑to‑permanent position involves hands‑on inspection of completed work and supporting the final stages of production.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect completed work against manufacturer and customer guidelines.
• Complete and close job‑card activities accurately.
• Meet internal lead times and customer deadlines.
• Report any delays or issues that could affect schedules.
• Record pass/fail outcomes with clear reasons.
• Wear correct PPE and raise health & safety concerns promptly.
• Take required photographs and perform final QC checks before vehicles leave the site.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard‑free work area.
• Prepare basic reports and carry out ad‑hoc duties as needed.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle for commuting.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous experience in a quality‑control role is beneficial but not essential – full training provided.
