QC Microbiology Technician

About the role

This newly created position supports a global pharmaceutical manufacturer by performing high‑volume microbiology testing on raw materials and finished drug products. The role operates within a GMP/GLP‑compliant clean‑room environment on a rotating shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct QC microbiology testing on raw materials and finished drug products.
• Provide technical support to scientists and report results via GLIMS.
• Collect and analyse environmental monitoring and water samples.
• Perform growth‑promotion testing of incoming goods.
• Execute validation protocol testing.
• Ensure all work follows GMP and GLP standards.

Required profile

• Qualified microbiologist or equivalent degree.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or other highly regulated environments.
• Clean‑shaven; no makeup or jewellery permitted in clean rooms.
• Willingness to work Tuesday‑Saturday 08:00‑16:00 or Sunday‑Thursday 08:00‑16:00.
• 12‑month fixed‑term contract with potential extension or permanent offer.
