QHSE Administrator (Health & Safety Officer)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive QHSE Administrator to support the Head of QHSE in a fast‑moving manufacturing environment in Wallingford. You will help drive a strong safety culture, maintain quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for the Health & Safety strategy, including meeting minutes and action tracking.
• Assist with incident investigations, corrective and preventative actions.
• Manage QHSE documentation, systems, records and SharePoint site.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions on risk assessments, COSHH and other HSE topics.
• Monitor equipment registers, calibration records and HSE planners.
• Support toolbox talks, training programmes and compliance records.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits and shop‑floor safety checks.
• Assist in preparing risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.

Required profile

• Experience in a QHSE, Health & Safety or Compliance administration role.
• Background in manufacturing, engineering or production environments.
• Knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with colleagues at all levels.
