About the role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to join a growing accountancy practice in Carnforth. You will manage a varied portfolio of owner‑managed and family businesses, delivering high‑quality accountancy services and practical commercial advice to support client growth and success.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop strong client relationships.
• Prepare, review and deliver financial accounts.
• Produce management accounts and business reports.
• Provide commercial and financial advice to clients.
• Identify opportunities for tax planning, restructuring and business improvement.
• Support business development through networking and referrals.
• Work with senior leadership to enhance processes and systems.

Required profile

• Experience in a client‑facing accountancy practice role.
• Proven portfolio management experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and business advisory skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Desirable: ACA or ACCA qualification, or equivalent practice experience.
