Qualified Bus Driver – PCV Category D Licence

About the role

Arriva London is looking for qualified bus drivers holding a PCV Category D licence to join its fleet. You will operate buses across London, ensuring passengers reach their destinations safely and on time while representing a leading public transport operator.

Key responsibilities

• Drive assigned bus routes safely and in accordance with traffic regulations.
• Maintain punctuality and adhere to published timetables.
• Provide courteous customer service, assisting passengers as needed.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑journey vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Follow all health, safety and company policies, including drug and alcohol screening.

Required profile

• Valid PCV Category D licence.
• Age 18 or over with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Current London licence if employed by another London operator in the past six months.
• At least 12 months of bus‑driving experience within the last four years (for higher pay rates).
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, afternoons and evenings.
