About the role
We are seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker to join Leeds City Council’s Child Protection Team on a temporary basis. The role involves safeguarding vulnerable children and supporting them through complex cases.
Key responsibilities
- Work with children on the child protection register, looked after children and children in need.
- Attend court proceedings and give evidence as required.
- Conduct assessments and core assessments, including LAC reviews.
- Manage a varied caseload and produce court reports.
- Prepare and deliver Section 47 reports.
Required profile
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Minimum 2 years post‑qualifying experience within the UK.
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
- Ability to attend court and provide evidence.
