Qualified Electrician – Residential Compliance Services

About the role

Sovereign Network Group is seeking a qualified electrician to join its compliance services team covering the Portsmouth, Chichester and Southampton (M3 Corridor) areas. You will work on a variety of residential properties, performing testing, repairs and maintenance to ensure electrical safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine testing and inspection of electrical services equipment in customers' homes.
• Perform responsive repairs and planned works in line with IEE wiring regulations and SNG procedures.
• Estimate, requisition and recommend materials and spares needed for satisfactory repairs.
• Record and report the condition of equipment using inspection sheets and installation certificates.
• Travel to job sites using a company‑provided van and fuel card.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Certification in 18th Edition (BS7671) and City & Guild 2391 Electrical Test/Inspect.
• Experience in a similar residential/housing electrical role is ideal.
• Full, current driving licence with at least one year of driving experience.
• Strong health and safety mindset and knowledge of relevant regulations.
