About the role

We are seeking a passionate English teacher to inspire secondary students (Key Stages 3 and 4) across Warrington. The successful candidate will join dynamic schools and academies, delivering high‑quality GCSE English Language and Literature lessons from September.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging GCSE English Language and Literature lessons.
• Support pupils across KS3 and KS4 to improve attainment and confidence.
• Maintain effective classroom management, assessment procedures and pupil progress tracking.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to school development.

Required profile

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in English Literature, Language or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching GCSE English Language and Literature.
• Strong communication, organisational and behaviour‑management abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
