Qualified English Teacher – High School (Chester)

About the role
Make an impact in outstanding schools across historic Chester this September. We are seeking a qualified English teacher to join high‑performing humanities departments covering CH1 to CH4, including City Centre, Upton, Hoole, Huntington and Saltney.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality GCSE English Language and English Literature lessons.
- Support pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 to raise attainment levels.
- Maintain effective classroom management, assessment and pupil tracking.
Required profile
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in English Literature, Language or a related field.
- Proven track record teaching GCSE English Literature and Language.
- Strong communication, organisation and behaviour management skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
