Qualified Financial Accountant

About the role

We are partnering with a leading international IT organisation to hire a Qualified Financial Accountant for its UK finance team. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will own financial reporting, statutory compliance and day‑to‑day finance operations while leading a small team of finance professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and forecasts.
• Produce balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls.
• Deliver variance analysis and performance reporting.
• Prepare statutory accounts and manage the year‑end audit process.
• Oversee VAT, corporation tax and other statutory compliance.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Process monthly payroll.
• Lead, coach and develop a small finance team.
• Improve finance systems, reporting processes and internal controls.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to support commercial decision‑making.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• 5+ years post‑qualification experience in financial accounting and statutory reporting.
• Proven ability to prepare management accounts and meet monthly reporting deadlines.
• Experience managing or mentoring finance staff.
• Commercially minded with strong analytical and communication skills.
