Qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Medway on a full‑time, long‑term basis. The role offers the chance to deliver planned lessons, support classroom teaching, and make a tangible impact on pupil progress, with the possibility of a permanent contract after 12 weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons across the primary age range when the class teacher is absent.
• Support teaching and learning both inside and outside the classroom.
• Work closely with teachers to raise pupil attainment and engagement.
• Provide targeted interventions and support to individuals and small groups.
• Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Contribute to the wider school community and support pupils' educational development.

Required profile

• Hold a recognised HLTA qualification.
• Previous experience in a UK primary school setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management abilities.
• Committed, reliable and passionate about supporting children’s learning.
• Up‑to‑date CV outlining recent education experience.
