Qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner (Full‑time/Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our early years team in Lancing. You will help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment where children can learn through play and exploration.

Key responsibilities

• Observe, assess and record each child’s progress and share insights with parents and carers.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with families to enhance children’s learning and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities that promote holistic development.
• Raise any safeguarding concerns with the Nursery Manager while maintaining confidentiality.

Required profile

• A Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a nursery or early years setting.
• Passion for supporting children’s development and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with families and the wider team.

Required skills

• Understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and statutory childcare regulations.
