Qualified Maths Teacher – Sefton (Secondary Schools)

About the role

We are seeking qualified Mathematics teachers for secondary schools and academies across Sefton, starting in September. The role involves delivering engaging maths lessons in a range of locations including Bootle, Litherland, Crosby, Maghull, Formby and Southport.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver dynamic, real‑world maths lessons that inspire students.
• Plan differentiated lessons that simplify complex formulas and support all ability levels.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations and boost confidence.
• Create a supportive classroom environment where every pupil feels heard and motivated.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and colleagues to keep learning interactive.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS); early‑career teachers are welcome.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Mathematics.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
