Qualified Maths Teacher – Wirral (High School)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Mathematics teacher to join schools across the Wirral peninsula for the September term. The role involves delivering engaging lessons to secondary students and supporting their progress in line with the UK National Curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated Maths lessons that make complex concepts accessible.
• Incorporate real‑world problem‑solving activities to enhance student engagement.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations and build confidence.
• Create a positive classroom environment where mistakes are viewed as learning opportunities.
• Collaborate with department colleagues and support staff to improve learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS); Early Career Teachers are welcome.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Mathematics.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Required skills

• Curriculum planning and lesson design for secondary Mathematics.
• Assessment and GCSE preparation techniques.
