Qualified Primary Teacher – Special School (SEN)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Qualified Primary Teacher to join a welcoming special school in Tower Hamlets. You will work with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that help each pupil reach their full potential. The role is based onsite and offers a supportive environment for professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver primary curriculum tailored to the individual needs of SEN pupils.
• Implement differentiated teaching strategies to promote inclusive learning.
• Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists and the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain effective classroom management and a nurturing classroom atmosphere.
• Monitor pupil progress and adjust interventions as required.
• Contribute to the school’s continuous improvement and professional development initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Strong commitment to supporting children with additional needs.
• Flexible, patient and creative approach to teaching.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Previous experience in a special school or with SEN pupils is desirable but not essential.
