Qualified Secondary English Teacher – Wirral

About the role
We are looking for a qualified Secondary English Teacher to inspire pupils across the Wirral peninsula starting September 2026. The role covers schools in Birkenhead, Wallasey, Bebington, Heswall and West Kirby.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality GCSE English Language and Literature lessons.
- Support Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils to improve attainment.
- Maintain effective classroom management, assessment and pupil tracking.
Required profile
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in English Literature, Language or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching GCSE English Literature and Language.
- Strong communication, organisation and behaviour management abilities.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
