Qualified Secondary School Teacher – Supply & Long-Term Roles

About the role

Spencer Clarke Group is recruiting qualified secondary school teachers for day‑to‑day supply and long‑term subject‑specific placements across Kirkby and surrounding schools from September 2026. The role offers flexible working patterns to suit your availability while delivering the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons for KS3 and KS4, ensuring curriculum objectives are met.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Follow each school’s policies and procedures and provide continuity for pupils during teacher absence.
• Accept assignments that align with your personal schedule and availability.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Professional, reliable approach with an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to complete checks.

What we offer

• Daily rates of £120‑£190, inclusive of statutory holiday pay.
• Flexible supply work across a range of local secondary schools, with the possibility of long‑term, pay‑to‑scale placements.
