Qualified Social Worker – Family Help MASH

About the role

Our client, Liverpool City Council, is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join the Family Help team within the Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). Working alongside professionals from a range of partner agencies, you will help keep children and young people safe by ensuring families receive timely, appropriate support.

Key responsibilities

• Triage incoming contacts at the Front Door and apply LON thresholds.
• Coordinate information sharing across agencies to enable rapid, co‑ordinated responses.
• Identify early safeguarding concerns and facilitate appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with council and statutory procedures.
• Collaborate with partner organisations to develop and implement family‑centred support plans.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker, fully registered with the relevant professional body.
• Enhanced Disclosure (DBS) clearance required.
• Demonstrated experience in child safeguarding and multi‑agency work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
