Qualified Social Worker – FAST (Family Safeguarding)

About the role

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking an experienced qualified social worker to join its Family Safeguarding (FAST) team. You will work across Child in Need, Child Protection and Children in Care, delivering high‑quality statutory social work and contributing to the safety of vulnerable children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage Section 47 enquiries and produce comprehensive Child and Family Assessments.
• Apply evidence‑based risk management approaches, including the Signs of Safety model.
• Coordinate multi‑agency safeguarding plans and produce clear analytical reports for court and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate, timely case records and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.
• Provide relationship‑based practice and confident decision‑making to improve outcomes for children and families.

Required profile

• Qualified social worker with a current registration and experience in FAST or equivalent safeguarding teams.
• Proven ability to lead Section 47 enquiries and manage complex cases.
• Strong commitment to child safety and multi‑agency collaboration.
• Willingness to work onsite five days during the duty week (every fourth week) with hybrid flexibility on non‑duty weeks.
