Qualified Social Worker – Learning Disability & Autism (Complex Cases)

About the role

Leicestershire County Council is seeking an autonomous, highly skilled Qualified Social Worker to join its specialist Learning Disability & Autism team. The role involves managing a complex caseload of adults with learning disabilities and neurodivergent profiles, working within a hybrid model.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage high‑complexity cases, including care planning and support assessments.
• Prepare detailed Court of Protection statements and legal documentation.
• Lead adult safeguarding enquiries and produce analytical reports.
• Conduct Care Act assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments, and best‑interest decisions.
• Record all casework accurately using the LiquidLogic system.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker with a current Social Work England registration.
• Post‑qualifying experience in adult learning disability, autism, or complex safeguarding.
• Proven experience preparing Court of Protection statements and presenting evidence.
• Familiarity with local authority systems, preferably LiquidLogic.
