Qualified Social Worker – MASH

About the role

Our client, Suffolk County Council, is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join the MASH (Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub) team. You will work directly with children, young people and families, applying the Suffolk Signs of Safety framework to deliver early‑intervention support.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate and engage with children, families, colleagues and community partners.
• Use the Signs of Safety and Wellbeing framework to assess, plan and review cases.
• Act as Lead Professional for designated families, coordinating multi‑agency responses.
• Participate in CAF, statutory and multi‑agency assessments.
• Maintain accurate records, produce reports and ensure data protection compliance.
• Provide information, sign‑posting and referrals to specialist services.
• Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns promptly.
• Mentor and supervise junior staff or students as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker with current registration.
• Experience using the Signs of Safety framework.
• Ability to manage complex cases and risk levels.
• Strong multi‑agency collaboration skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and supervision.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Suffolk Signs of Safety framework.
• Familiarity with CAF and statutory assessment processes.
• Proficiency in case management and record‑keeping systems.
