Qualified Social Worker – Mental Health Team (Blackpool)

About the role
We are seeking a qualified Social Worker to join Blackpool Council’s Community Mental Health Team for Older Adults. The role is a 14‑week contract, paid at £30.66 per hour, and involves working alongside health professionals to support older adults with mental health needs.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct multi‑disciplinary needs and risk assessments for older adults.
- Develop and review care plans in line with the Care Act 2014.
- Provide long‑term social work support to service users and their carers.
- Collaborate with health colleagues in an integrated team setting.
- Undertake timely assessments and reviews as required.
Required profile
- Qualified Social Worker registration.
- Experience working with older adults in a mental health context.
- Understanding of mental health legislation and the Care Act 2014.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
