Qualified Social Worker – Oxfordshire

About the role

Oxfordshire County Council is seeking experienced social workers to join its Children’s Services team across several locations. You will manage a protected caseload, build trusted relationships with children and families, and contribute to high‑quality assessments, plans and court work.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a protected caseload and develop meaningful family relationships.
• Conduct thorough assessments, produce evidence‑based reports and lead Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP) and court proceedings.
• Use strengths‑based approaches and ensure the child’s voice informs decisions.
• Collaborate with multi‑agency partners and participate in reflective supervision.
• Act as a duty worker on a rota and keep accurate statutory case records.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of UK statutory social work experience (3+ years for senior roles).
• Experience in long‑term casework, including CIN, CP and court work.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Willingness to live within or relocate to within one hour of an office.
