Qualified Social Worker – Sensory, Physical & Neurological Team

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Sensory, Physical and Neurological Team within Warrington Council. The role involves delivering specialist support to individuals with autism and complex needs, working closely with multidisciplinary partners to promote wellbeing and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and develop personalised care plans for service users with sensory, physical and neurological challenges.
• Provide direct support and advocacy for individuals with autism and complex needs.
• Collaborate with health, education and housing teams to ensure coordinated service delivery.
• Maintain accurate case records and produce timely reports for statutory bodies.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker registration (e.g., HCPC or equivalent).
• Proven experience working with autism, sensory impairments and complex needs.
• Strong understanding of local authority social work frameworks.
• Excellent communication and multi‑agency collaboration skills.
