About the role
Prospero Teaching is partnering with a range of primary, secondary and specialist SEN schools in Portsmouth to place qualified teachers (QTS) and early‑career teachers (ECT) for the September start. The role offers the chance to deliver curriculum‑aligned lessons, support pupil progress and become part of a vibrant school community.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons within your subject area or key stage.
- Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Support pupils of varying abilities to achieve their potential.
- Maintain positive classroom behaviour and engagement.
- Contribute to departmental planning and wider school activities.
- Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it as an ECT.
- Strong subject knowledge or understanding of the primary curriculum.
- Confident classroom practitioner or developing teaching practice.
- Effective behaviour management skills.
- Organised, motivated and passionate about pupil development.
