About the role

Prospero Teaching is partnering with a range of schools in Southampton to place Qualified Teachers (QTS) and Early Career Teachers (ECT) for the September start. Whether you specialise in primary, secondary or SEN settings, the role involves delivering high‑quality lessons and supporting pupil progress.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in your subject or key stage.
• Assess, monitor and provide feedback on pupil learning.
• Create an inclusive, positive classroom environment.
• Maintain behaviour standards and uphold safeguarding policies.
• Contribute to wider school activities and collaborative projects.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it as an ECT.
• Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum (primary, secondary or SEN).
• Passion for pupil achievement and development.
• Effective classroom management and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work across different school settings.

Required skills

• Subject‑specific expertise aligned with the teaching placement.
