Qualified Teaching Assistant – Flexible Day-to-Day Role

About the role

Spencer Clarke Group is partnering with several welcoming schools in Blackpool that need dedicated Qualified Teaching Assistants. The role involves supporting pupils’ learning both in the classroom and through targeted one‑to‑one or small‑group interventions, helping to create an inclusive and engaging environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning on a one‑to‑one and small‑group basis.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective learning activities.
• Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress where required.
• Support pupils with a range of additional learning, social and emotional needs.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour and keep pupils focused and engaged.
• Adapt approaches to meet the individual needs of different learners.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing.

Required profile

• A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification, ideally Level 2 or Level 3.
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children and young people in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff and to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Genuine passion for education and supporting young people to achieve their potential.
• Flexibility and reliability for short‑term and long‑term placements.
