Quality Assurance Officer – GMP Pharmaceutical

About the role
Our client, a growing pharmaceutical manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients, is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join its Quality team in Kent. The role offers exposure to the full QA lifecycle, collaboration with cross‑functional teams and the chance to influence quality systems and compliance standards.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Review and approve batch manufacturing documentation before product release.
- Review and approve SOPs, controlled documents and quality records.
- Manage quality events such as deviations, CAPAs, change controls, complaints and out‑of‑specification investigations.
- Support internal and supplier audits and ongoing compliance activities.
- Assist with customer and regulatory inspections and audit preparation.
- Potentially lead quality improvement projects, validation activities and mentor colleagues.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a GMP‑regulated Quality Assurance environment.
- Strong understanding of GMP and broader GxP requirements.
- Experience managing and supporting a QMS.
- Knowledge of CAPA, deviations, change controls, complaints and batch record review processes.
- Minimum three years in GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing (desirable).
- Experience conducting internal and supplier audits (desirable).
