Quality Compliance Manager – Brewery (Magor)

About the role

Reporting to the Brewery Manager and sitting on the site management team, the Quality Compliance Manager will lead the quality assurance department at the Magor brewery. The role ensures that internal and external customer, consumer and regulatory requirements for service, quality and food/feed safety are met while controlling costs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and compliance with EHS, food/feed integrity, GMP and HACCP standards across the brewery.
• Manage the department budget, zero‑based budgeting and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Oversee investigations of complaints, root‑cause analysis and legal contentious issues.
• Coordinate physico‑chemical, microbiological and sensory analyses in line with VPO requirements.
• Develop and coach a high‑performing team through training, performance appraisals and continuous improvement programmes.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and results‑focused attitude.
• Proven ability to manage complex industrial relations, union interactions and change initiatives.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• HACCP implementation and maintenance.
• Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and BRC audit compliance.
• Physico‑chemical and microbiological analysis techniques.
• Sensory analysis of beer products.
