Quality & Compliance Systems Manager

About the role

The Quality & Compliance Systems Manager will lead the development and maintenance of quality, compliance, health & safety and HR management systems for a globally recognised precision engineering and metrology business. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the role is central to ensuring regulatory compliance, driving continuous improvement and supporting a culture of operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, develop and continuously improve the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
• Lead internal and external audit programmes, including corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.
• Drive compliance initiatives and keep policies, procedures and management systems up to date.
• Act as the primary contact for customer quality concerns, supplier issues and certification bodies.
• Oversee health & safety activities and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with senior management and external consultants to maintain compliant HR policies and processes.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior quality or compliance role within engineering, manufacturing, aerospace or metrology.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Proactive problem‑solving approach with solid root‑cause analysis skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.
