Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager to lead our Quality Management System and embed Lean manufacturing across our engineering and manufacturing operations. You will work closely with senior leadership, engineering, production teams and suppliers to drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Lead Lean initiatives such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, APQP, DMAIC, 8D and A3 problem‑solving.
• Plan and conduct internal quality audits, manage non‑conformances and corrective actions.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) into manufacturing environments.
• Identify waste reduction opportunities and enhance production efficiency.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and drive supply‑chain improvements.
• Analyse performance data, report KPIs and present quality updates to senior management.
• Champion operational change and industrialisation projects.

Required profile

• HNC/HND or degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a quality management role.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and experience as a Lead Auditor.
• Proven track record of implementing Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent problem‑solving, project management and stakeholder management skills.

• Six Sigma Black Belt (advantageous)
