Quality Control Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Control Engineer to join a well‑established manufacturing business serving the construction sector. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will ensure that products, materials and processes comply with company, health & safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out technical validation of products, raw materials and components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Analyse data to identify trends, issues and improvement opportunities.
• Create and maintain inspection procedures and testing documentation.
• Support root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement activities.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
• Uphold 5S housekeeping standards in the quality lab.
• Manage workload, performance and task allocation within the QC team.
• Report incidents and non‑conformances accurately.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a quality role within manufacturing or a laboratory environment.
• Strong understanding of inspection, testing and quality‑control methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• High attention to detail with excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
• IT literate.

Required skills

• CMM measurement.
• Six Sigma methodology.
• 5S methodology.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
