About the role
Join 3M’s innovative team in Aberdeen, SD as a Quality Engineer, supporting the development and manufacturing of medical devices. You will work closely with global colleagues to ensure products meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Represent the customer by evaluating complaints, trends, and developing corrective action plans.
- Lead CAPA, Risk Management, Quality at the Source, and Customer Quality Index initiatives.
- Deploy Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor Key Process Indicators (KPIs).
- Create sampling plans, perform data analysis, and develop new test methods.
- Validate test methods for new and existing products.
- Participate in internal and external quality system and process audits.
- Provide change‑management oversight and support to the process engineering team.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering, math, or technical discipline.
- At least two years of experience in engineering, quality, or a related technical role.
- Experience in a medical device or drug manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and audit processes.
- Statistical knowledge and exposure to Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
