Quality Engineer – Ilfracombe

About the role

We are partnering with a leading designer and manufacturer of specialist equipment in Ilfracombe, North Devon. The Quality Engineer will drive quality improvements, resolve issues and prepare to step into a Quality Manager role within two years.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Oversee PPAP submissions and ensure all project and process documentation complies with standards.
• Lead cross-functional programmes to assess and improve quality performance.
• Promote a “right first time” culture across the organisation.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Quality Engineer.
• Strong analytical capabilities and proven problem-solving experience.
• Internal Auditor certification.
• Relevant degree or Level 6 Quality Assurance qualification.
• Six Sigma qualification is a distinct advantage.
