About the role
Beagle Aircraft, a leading aerospace manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join its Quality Team in Christchurch. You will work closely with Production, Engineering and Inspection to uphold the highest aerospace standards across our manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Management System.
- Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations and support Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
- Prepare and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in line with AS9102.
- Conduct internal audits and assist with customer and external audits.
- Review and update manufacturing documentation, work instructions and operating procedures.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production to reduce defects, scrap and rework.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and drive process improvements.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure product release compliance.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Quality Engineer or aerospace quality role.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001 and related aerospace quality standards.
- Experience with RCCA, MRB, FAIRs (AS9102) and first‑article inspections.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, composites or mechanical assemblies.
- HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
