Quality Inspector

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Quality Inspector to support manufacturing teams across the UK, focusing on non‑conformance inspections and continuous improvement. The role is based in Bolton with a hybrid working pattern and requires SC clearance eligibility.

Key responsibilities

• Provide frontline support in managing non‑conformances, including administration of reports and containment actions.
• Facilitate non‑conformance meetings on the shop floor, communicate product information and escalate issues.
• Conduct operational surveillance and certification monitoring to ensure compliance with standards.
• Lead Gemba walks to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
• Carry out as‑built verification checks to confirm accuracy and adherence to established standards.

Required profile

• Comprehensive knowledge of quality inspection processes and standards.
• Proven experience in non‑conformance management.
• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
• Ability to conduct Gemba walks and shop‑floor inspections.
• Familiarity with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Strong planning, organisational and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and able to work independently.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and certification requirements.

• Competitive rate of £40‑45 per hour.
