Quality Inspector – Precast Concrete

About the role

The Quality Inspector will travel to multiple precast concrete production sites across England and Ireland to ensure manufacturing processes meet approved Inspection and Test Plans, project specifications and relevant standards. The role involves reporting findings to internal teams and customers, providing clear feedback and practical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to production sites to inspect and monitor manufacturing activities.
• Ensure all stages of production comply with ITPs, drawings and specifications.
• Inspect materials, reinforcement, formwork, casting, curing, finishing and storage.
• Verify inspections, testing and records meet quality requirements.
• Identify and document non‑conformances and quality issues.
• Report findings clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying trends and recommending solutions.
• Complete inspection reports accurately and on time.
• Comply with site safety rules and company policies.

Required profile

• Experience as a Quality Inspector within precast concrete, construction or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of precast concrete processes and quality standards.
• Experience working with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., British Standards) desirable.
• Full, valid driving licence.
• Valid CSCS card.
