Quality Inspector – Precision Engineering

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join a leading precision engineering company based in Byfleet. The role involves inspecting both in‑process and finished products, supporting customer returns, and contributing to monthly quality statistics. Candidates with hands‑on experience of CMM and PC DMIS will thrive in this position.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and software‑based inspections of components using CMM and Visual FAIR tools.
• Inspect in‑process parts and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Manage customer return investigations and document findings.
• Compile and analyse monthly quality data for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve non‑conformities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a quality inspection role within precision engineering or aerospace.
• Familiarity with CMM equipment and PC DMIS software.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
