Quality Manager – Food Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Quality Manager to lead food safety and quality across our Uckfield manufacturing site. Reporting to the Partnership QA & Compliance Manager, you will own the Quality Management System and ensure compliance with customer, retailer and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the site Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure compliance with BRCGS, RSPO, GMP and other industry standards.
• Plan, host and support external customer and certification audits.
• Conduct internal quality, hygiene and non‑conformance investigations.
• Manage product specifications, testing programmes and environmental swabbing.
• Deliver food safety and quality training to production and office teams.
• Produce monthly quality reports, analyse trends and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quality Manager or in a similar QA/Technical role within food manufacturing or co‑packing.
• Strong ability to build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Excellent problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
• Clear communication skills and confidence in audit environments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of BRCGS, RSPO and GMP standards.
• Experience managing a Quality Management System.
• Audit planning and execution.
