Quality Manager

About the role

The Quality Manager will lead the Quality Management Framework for the Programme and Project Partners (PPP) delivering major nuclear infrastructure projects at Sellafield. Working in a highly regulated environment, the role ensures that quality, safety and compliance are embedded across all activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with standards such as ISO 9001 and related organisational systems.
• Provide quality insights, assurance updates and performance reports to forums and stakeholders.
• Identify, assess and escalate quality‑related risks and support organisational risk management.
• Conduct independent audits, assurance activities and management reviews in line with PPP requirements.
• Prepare and present audit findings, collect lessons learned and share best practice.
• Compile KPI data, monitor performance, analyse trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain documented procedures, policies and governance arrangements.
• Engage with Sellafield Ltd, principal contractors and project teams to promote a joined‑up approach to quality and nuclear safety.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality management within a regulated, preferably nuclear, environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute independent audits and assurance activities.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
• Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Understanding of nuclear safety expectations and standards.
