Quality Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality agenda at our manufacturing site near Oldham. You will be responsible for setting strategic direction, ensuring day‑to‑day operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across quality, hygiene and manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the site’s overall quality strategy in line with corporate frameworks.
• Design and lead comprehensive quality improvement programmes in collaboration with divisional teams.
• Develop, implement and maintain robust Quality Management Systems that meet internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and develop QA Specialists, Hygiene Specialists and QC Supervisors, building a high‑performance team.
• Oversee all quality control activities, including laboratory testing, product release, documentation management and data integrity.
• Act as the primary contact for customer audits, regulatory inspections and certification processes, ensuring positive outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, hygiene standards and manufacturing efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Quality Assurance and QMS within the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
• Strong track record of leading cross‑functional teams and managing complex audit situations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Commitment to upholding the highest standards of product quality and regulatory compliance.
