Quality Manager (Low Risk Food)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead a multi‑site quality function for a leading low‑risk food ingredient manufacturer. You will be the primary quality authority across nine UK sites, ensuring compliance with BRC, GMP and customer specifications while driving continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 10‑15 QA/QC professionals across multiple locations.
- Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet BRC, HACCP, TACCP and VACCP standards.
- Plan and execute internal audits and support annual BRC audits, including unannounced inspections.
- Investigate and resolve non‑conformances (NCRs) and drive corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Group Technical Manager to align technical policies with quality objectives.
- Monitor product quality, customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
- Travel to all UK sites as required to provide on‑site support and oversight.
Required profile
- Significant senior‑level experience in quality management within low‑risk food manufacturing.
- Proven ability to lead multi‑site teams and manage complex quality projects.
- Strong understanding of food safety legislation and industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence operational teams.
- Passion for food quality and continuous improvement.
