Quality Manager – Low Risk Food Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead a large, multi‑site quality team for a leading low‑risk food ingredient manufacturer in the UK. You will work closely with the Group Technical Manager to ensure the business meets BRC, GMP and customer standards across all manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a quality department of 10‑15 QA/QC staff across nine UK sites.
• Plan and conduct internal audits and support annual BRC audits (including unannounced visits).
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and related documentation.
• Monitor non‑conformities (NCRs), drive corrective actions and report compliance status.
• Collaborate with operational teams to embed HACCP, TACCP, VACCP and other food safety programmes.
• Mentor, coach and develop the quality team to achieve high performance.

Required profile

• Significant experience in quality assurance within multi‑site low‑risk food processing.
• Proven leadership of a sizeable quality team.
• Strong understanding of BRC, GMP, HACCP, TACCP and VACCP standards.
• Ability to travel regularly to all UK sites.
