Quality Manager - Power Supply

About the role

This is a great opportunity to join a leading power‑supply manufacturer as a Quality & Warranty Manager. You will be responsible for driving quality excellence across production, engineering and after‑sales, while acting as the main technical contact for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) using tools such as CAQ, APQP and PDM.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards.
• Lead internal and external audits, inspections and corrective‑action programmes.
• Analyse quality data to identify trends, root causes and continuous‑improvement opportunities.
• Manage the full lifecycle of warranty claims and customer complaints, from intake through investigation to closure.
• Coordinate technical responses, corrective‑action implementation and reporting of cost‑of‑quality metrics.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, engineering, suppliers and customers.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and lead projects to reduce defects, returns and inefficiencies.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing quality or after‑sales environment.
• Background working with transformers, switchgear or power‑supply equipment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Analytical, organised and hands‑on problem‑solver.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• CAQ, APQP and PDM tools.
• Six Sigma, Lean and TQM methodologies (certification preferred).
• In‑depth knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and compliance.
• ERP/MRP experience, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
